Comic help...

Well recently i've been wanting to get into some comics, mostly Captain America and Spider-Man. I'm already getting several trade paperbacks for both of them for christmas...but im thinking of getting some more.

I've been looking at the Clone saga for Spider-man mostly because the character of Ben Reilly really intrigues me...but i've heard a lot of negativity about that whole saga. Has anyone read it?

I've read one issue where a clone of Gwen Stacy is kidnapped by the green goblin. That's really old. But I tend to only buy DC. The death in the family arc for Batman is something else. They've outdone themselves there.

Well did you like that one comic? :P

Ever read Ultimate Spider-Man? I've been thinking about it as well.

Nah i didn't really like it. I've always found the stories and artwork of Marvel to be pretty weak compared to DC.

The clone saga bored me, actually. I'd suggest you to catch up on Dan Slott's new arc... it's just messed up in some points though haha.

I also loved the Brand New Day Saga as well.

Yeah I know the Clone saga is rather long, but Ben Reilly just seems like an awesome character. Was it boring because of its length? Or is the story really as bad as I've heard?

Ill look into the others as well.

Eh I guess the plot was just way too stressed sometimes... but you can look into it anyways. =]

Is Dan Slotts new arc Spider-Man: Big Time? It sounds rather interesting and it's only $11.

Alright Puccio since you seem to be a master of Spider-Man comics.. should I get New Ways to Die for Anti-Venoms origin story... because Im now thinking of getting Big Time Ultimate Collection, The Return of Anti-Venom, and then Spider Island once it comes out on paperback.

EDIT: Im also thinking of grabbing Spider-Man: Anti-Venom.. which im assuming happens somewhere between New Ways to Die and the Return of Anti-Venom.
